This woodland walk has many different types of trees from birch to Norway spruce.

Open sections of the woodland walk has some wildlife interests for birds and various farm animals. Thomas woods walk has small trail paths that can take you to Overton house.

Start and Finish Points

By foot these woods can be accessed by going to the end of Beeches Road where you will see Carleith Primary School on your left and straight ahead you will find the Thomas Wood Path. By vehicle leave the Great Western Road (A82) onto Dumbarton Road (A810). Take the first left into Auchentoshan Avenue, take the next left into Dalgleish Avenue and follow until the road junctions with Beeches Road and turn left into Beeches Road. Follow this road till the end where you can park and pick up the Thomas Wood Path at this point.

Condition

The site is mainly used up until the crematorium. After that the path is more natural than man maid.
