The woodland strip runs alongside the River Leven and the A813 for 0.3 miles

Offers a good place for migrating species (mainly birds and insects) to rest as it’s located on the river.

Common plant life and neutral grassland and wide spread scrubs and wildflowers.

Start and Finish Points

By foot these woods can be accessed by a foot path to the River Leven Tow Path from either Main Street Jamestown or Heather Avenue Alexandria. By vehicle from Main Street Jamestown (A812) turn into Levenbank Gardens and follow till the end where you will see an entrance in the wall with a parking leading to the footpath.
