Situated behind Castlehill housing estate in Dumbarton with grassland hillsides and scattering of trees.

Kipperoch Road to Cardross measures approximately 1,471 meters long and there is only one street named Kipperoch Road making it unique in Great Britain.

The average elevation of Kipperoch Road is roughly 42.06 meters above sea level, with the highest point being 83.70 and the lowest point being 11.50. A change of 72.20 meters. The road passes through two farms so please be mindful of animals and close all gates behind you.

Along this walk you will be able to see rolling hills and farmland all around and from the top towards Helensburgh you will be able to see the Arrochar Apls.

Start and Finish Points

By foot from Dalreoch train station walk towards Renton Road which will be in the opposite direction from the bridge and walk along the road for around 20 mins until you see the road sign to Kipperoch Road. Once you enter the area you will see two paths, follow the one to the right and continue to you reach the farm.

Go through the farm and close all gates behind you, continue on the same path until you pass through the second farm and turn right at the bottom at the cow sheds and walk along the road. This road will bring you out at Main Road (A814) Cardross where if you turn left you can walk back to Dalreoch train station via Cardross road or turn right to Cardross train station.

By vehicle from Renton Road (A812) turn into Kipperoch Road where you can park and pick up the footpath which can be seen on the righthand side.
