Dalmuir Park - Overtoun Road
Dalmuir Park was opened in 1906 within the grounds of Dalmuir House and built by the people, for the people. It’s location is the former site of the Richard Collins family estate, and the famous Paper Mill Factory.
The park has over 100 years of history and has been an important part of the community since the 17th century and survived the Clydebank Blitz of 1941, which decimated the surrounding area.
Various bird species can be found in the park including, swans, ducks, moorhens and coots on the pond, sparrows, thrush, blackbirds, pigeons, crows, magpies, blue tits, and finches. Squirrels are plentiful. Occasionally you might be lucky to spot some deer if the park is quiet.

What to bring with you
Start and Finish Points
By foot from the Dalmuir Golf Clubhouse, take the left-hand path and follow clockwise round the park. There are six signage posts along the way giving information about the park and its history. Dependent on how enthusiastic and fit you are, walks can take between 20 – 90 minutes... or longer if you want! As this is a loop, walking clockwise you will arrive back at the park entrance at the clubhouse.
