448Ha located in Milton, adjacent to the Langcraigs, part of the Crags Circular Path.

Largely conifer plantation but retaining viable areas of wet heath and dry heath, some on steep rocky slopes.

The area is made from small Lochs and is 80% covered by Conifers.

The Forestry Commission believes that Conifers should be cleared from within 30m of Lochs and watercourses.

Start and Finish Points

By foot this hill can be found from Stirling Road (A82) at The Abbotsford Hotel. Cross the A82 into Barnhill Road and follow up until you see Milton Brae footpath on the left before Hunter's Avenue. Follow the path behind the houses till the path forks and take the right fork then turn left into Overtoun Estate. Once you reach Overtoun House follow the Overtoun Circular Path signs. Brown Hill and Craigarestie will be found behind Lang Craigs between Black Linn Reservoir and Loch Humphrey. By vehicle from Stirling Road (A82) take the turn into Milton Brae at Logspan in Milton. Follow this road until it forks and take the right fork to Loch Humphrey, once the road bends to the right you will see an area to the right where you can park. Once parked follow this road till it forks and take the left fork where it will take you past the quarry. The road will fork again, take the left fork near the shed and follow past Greenland Reservoir No 3 on the right. Stay on this path till you see some woodland on your right and the hill can be found behind where you will be able to see Greenland Reservoir.
