Located along the A82 and rail line, is a small mature wood, without a lot of diversity.

Old Oak and Sycamore trees leaving a dense canopy.

Ground flora that is shaded out by the Larger trees creating a canopy.

Offers a low diversity as it's pinned between the busy A82 and rail line.

Start and Finish Points

By foot these woods can be accessed from Main Street Renton and turning into Carman Road at Renton Primary School, follow the road until it forks and take the right fork. At the end of the road you will find some steps onto the foot bridge over the A82. After crossing the bridge turn right and once past the houses the wood can be seen on the left. By vehicle from Main Street Renton (B857) turn into Cardross Road then take the second left into Upper Carman Road, follow the road untill you see a small inlet on the right hand side of the road before the first house where you will be able to park. Once parked the woods are on the same side of the road.
